Human analysts and modern listening tools, working together, with findings explained in plain language.

Narrative detection

Emerging themes, claims and storylines about you, your sector or your opponents, identified within hours and tracked as they evolve.

Coordinated inauthentic activity detection

Clusters of linked or newly created accounts, copy-paste posting and synchronised hashtags, presented with the evidence and our confidence level.

Deepfake & fabricated-content verification

Triage of suspected manipulated audio, video and images, and of fake "newspaper front pages" and documents, with escalation to specialist verification where needed.

Broadcast, print & online media monitoring

TV, radio (including vernacular stations), print and online coverage tracked for reach, tone, share of voice and key messages, with regular analysis reports.

Sentiment & share-of-voice tracking

How the mood around you is shifting, by platform, audience and region, compared with the people and organisations you're measured against.

Response playbook

From alert to answer, by design.

We agree the playbook with you at onboarding: who decides, who speaks, and what we say first. So when a red alert lands, nobody is improvising.

Verify

Confirm what is real, what is false and what is manipulated, and gather the evidence.

Assess

Rate the risk: reach, velocity, audiences affected, and the likelihood of mainstream or broadcast pick-up.

Respond

Holding lines, spokesperson clips, journalist briefings, credible third-party voices, and fact-checker and platform reporting.

Review

Track the effect of the response, update the playbook and brief you on lessons learned.

FAQ

Signal Room: frequently asked questions

Can't see your question? Ask us in confidence.

What is disinformation monitoring?

It is the continuous tracking of what is being said about you online and on air, with the specific aim of spotting false, misleading or coordinated narratives early. Signal Room pairs that monitoring with analysis and an agreed response plan.

How is Signal Room different from ordinary media monitoring?

Traditional media monitoring tells you what was published. Signal Room adds social listening across X, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube, detection of coordinated inauthentic activity, deepfake verification, risk-rated alerts and a response playbook, with human analysts interpreting what it means for you.

Do you monitor vernacular radio and TV?

Yes. Broadcast monitoring, including vernacular radio and TV, is part of every tier, delivered with specialist broadcast-monitoring partners and analysed by our team.

Can you detect bots and coordinated campaigns?

We look for the signals of coordinated inauthentic activity, such as clusters of new or linked accounts, copy-paste posts and synchronised hashtags, and we explain the evidence and our confidence level rather than making unsupported claims.

Can you get fake content taken down?

We document the evidence and report content through each platform's official channels, refer it to independent fact-checkers where appropriate, and advise on legal options with your counsel. Removal decisions rest with the platforms, so we can't guarantee them.

Do you use fake accounts or counter-campaigns?

No. Signal Room is defensive and evidence-based. We never use fake accounts, bots, mass-reporting campaigns or counter-astroturfing; we respond with facts, credible voices and legitimate channels.

Is monitoring compliant with Kenyan data protection law?

We monitor publicly available content for a defined purpose, minimise the personal data we keep, and handle it in line with the Data Protection Act, 2019. We don't access private accounts or groups, and we don't build dossiers on private individuals.

When should we start before the 2027 election?

Well before campaigning begins. A baseline of the normal conversation about you makes unusual activity far easier to spot, so we recommend starting with a Narrative Baseline Audit months ahead of the campaign period.
